The Evolution L ike its ancestor, the wolf, the dog is a carnivore, or rather, a prey catcher. Neither dogs nor of the Dog wolves only eat meat! Only appropriate nutrition can optimally support the health and performance of a dog. Juniorfor a good start in life The start of a new life is always exciting – not only for puppies and mothers, but also for us humans. It is all the more important to have a contact person who knows the needs of puppies, adolescent dogs and mothers from many years of experience - and is happy to give you advice and support. In the first four weeks, the mother’s milk is the best food for puppies. It contains all the impor- tant nutrients which the offspring requires - and is particularly well tolerated. However, these four weeks are a difficult time for the mother. She not only has to look after herself, but also her young pups. To avoid nutrient deficiencies, we recommend one of our puppy foods in the Young Pack line - ideally during the last two weeks of pregnancy. An oversupply of energy can increase the speed of growth excessively and lead to se- rious, and often, long-term damage to the bones and joints. A well-balanced puppy feed with the correct nutrients, given in the correct quantity, is the most important factor to ensure your young pet leads a long and happy life.
